About

Wikizine is about the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation. The most known project of the WMF is Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. But the Wikimedia community is larger. There are 700+ Wikis in hundreds of languages who form the Wikimedia Community. To know what is going on in Wikimedia-world is not easy.

That is where Wikizine comes in. It attempts to bring the most important news from the global Wikimedia family for everybody involved with Wikimedia. Wikizine is a newsletter send by email to here subscribers and in addition to that it is also posted on this blog.

Who

Wikizine is created by a team of editors who come from the Wikimedia projects. The footer of every Wikizine edition contains the list of editors who where involved in that particular edition. The publisher and editor-in-chief is Walter Vermeir.
